I Write LIke ...
J.K. Rowling.
In case you haven't seen this website yet, check it out. Paste in a little text and it analyzes it based on a whole bunch of criteria, then says who you write like.
LOL, Jude! He was who I blog like, apparently. My fiction is supposedly like Vladimir Nabokov. Not sure what to think of that, as I think his the loveliest writing I've ever heard, but I refuse to read it on principle of the way he romanticizes incest.
I got Stephen King and wasn't bothered a bit by that either.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I wouldn't have minded King either.
ReplyDeleteThe first rule of I Write Like is, you do not talk about I Write Like.
ReplyDeleteGuess who I got. :)
Ha ha.
ReplyDeleteFor you, I'm gonna go with ... King.
p.s. Because John D. MacDonald probably isn't on the list :)

ReplyDeleteNatasha,
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel about Nabakov ... but I'd be tinkled rosé to come up with Nabakov. He's one of the most beautiful writers I've ever read. I guess you'd have to be to make a pedophile even remotely sympathetic.
Hey, I got JK Rowling, too.
ReplyDeleteI got James Joyce. Is it an Irish thing????
