August Prompt

Here it is ... time for the August prompt. No picture this time. Instead, I'm giving a two-word phrase. You don't have to include the phrase in the story itself, although bonus points if you do. As always, there are no real restrictions to the story, just as long as it's less than 1,000 words and finds its inspiration in the following phrase:

LOVE HESITATES

Send me your story anytime you're done, and I'll start posting on Monday. If you want to write me offline, my email is jvzile@aol.com.

See you next week!

It's funny, kinda: the only ideas I get for these things involve my move. The last idea was boring and autobiographical about me throwing all my possessions out my window (essentially what I'm doing), and the first idea that occurs to me now is about my hesitation in finishing. I'm not sure if it's hesitation, though, or just pure exhaustion, LOL. I was supposed to leave on Friday!

Spy,

I think that's OK ... as long as there's any inspiration. I'm a little worried about this one myself. I have no idea how to handle it, and I'm not sure there's enough information. So I'm just letting it simmer for a while and see what happens.

I'm reading Freudian Slip right now, so you can guess where my thoughts went. :)

Melanie,

Ha ha. I was going to run with this joke, but I just got in trouble for taking a joke too far, so I better not. :)
